Bias scores and profile terms
A short guide to the radar, breakdown, and assessment states.
Scores and confidence
Scores run from 0 to 100. Higher values mean a stronger model-assessed signal from the available decisions. Confidence describes how much evidence the analysis found; it is not a probability that the assessment is correct.
The assessment results and profile use the same severity bands: Low: 0–39, Medium: 40–69, and High: 70–100. Labels and colors stay consistent wherever you review a bias score.
The 17 biases

|---|---|
| Overconfidence | Is my certainty stronger than my evidence? |
| Anchoring | Am I relying too heavily on an earlier price or number? |
| Pattern Matching | Are the similarities to a past situation meaningful? |
| Conservatism | Have I updated my view after new evidence? |
| Confirmation Bias | Have I actively sought opposing evidence? |
| Availability Bias | Am I overweighting vivid or recent events? |
| Hindsight Bias | Am I remembering uncertainty as certainty? |
| Mental Accounting | Am I treating equivalent money differently? |
| Illusion of Control | Am I confusing involvement with influence? |
| Loss Aversion | Is avoiding a loss dominating the forward-looking case? |
| Regret Aversion | Is fear of regret driving the choice? |
| Status Quo Bias | Would I make the same choice starting fresh? |
| Endowment Effect | Am I valuing this more because I own it? |
| Emotional Overconfidence | Does the evidence justify how certain I feel? |
| Sunk Cost Fallacy | Am I deciding based on past spending rather than future prospects? |
| Herding | Am I substituting consensus for independent reasoning? |
| Authority Bias | Have I evaluated the argument behind an expert's view? |
Profile panels
Radar: the six highest scores from eight biases chosen for their direct impact on buying and selling decisions. Breakdown: all 17 biases, ranked by score. A bias can appear in the breakdown without appearing on the focused radar. Trends: the five highest current scores over recorded observations; at least two saved observations are required.
Intervened means a check-in surfaced a prompt. Passed means it did not. Trigger labels can include Buy, Sell, Refresh, and Post-Sale; these describe check-in context, not execution of a trade.
Assessment progress
Before completion, Bias Profile offers start, continue, or analysis-in-progress states. It displays the completed profile only after the assessment finishes. Closing and reopening resumes the same assessment; a restart is not required.
