Use your own sources effectively
Add context the public data cannot provide, then verify the passages.
Your notes can contain a different question from the one a public filing answers. Bringing both into Research lets you compare the claim with the supporting evidence.
Add material with a purpose
Name sources so you can identify them in a question. Keep dated notes and filings distinguishable. Start with the documents needed for the thesis rather than uploading an entire archive.
Check what was processed
A ready document is searchable. Extraction can miss formatting, truncate long material, or fail on unsupported content. Read the status and check important passages against the original.
For audio and video, search uses a transcript. It does not establish that a chart or visual demonstration in the recording was captured correctly.

Check the file status, then use the eye icon to inspect the document. Ready means searchable; it does not validate every extracted passage. View full size
Keep originals elsewhere
Uploaded video originals are removed after 30 days and audio originals after 12 months. Transcripts remain searchable while their document source is retained. Deleting a source removes that searchable content too.
